Q: How much is it to get into the grandstands or pit area?
A: The charge for grandstand seating is $5 per person, under 10 free. Tuesday night (Garden Tractor and ATV Pulls) admission is only $2 a person, under 10 free. Free Admission on Saturday to the Antique Pull ONLY.
Q: Do you have to pay for admission?
A: No, the Jefferson Township Fair is FREE ADMISSION, and FREE PARKING.
Q: What time is the fair over?
A: The fair opens nightly at 5PM, and generally closes by midnight. There is no set closing time. Our food stands and carnival run until the crowd thins out for the night.
Q: Where are the fairgrounds,
and how much is it to park?
A: The fairgrounds are located at 7409
Lamor Road. Here's the directions: From Mercer - Rt. 62W (approx.
5 miles) to Zahniser Rd.; turn right, fairground at end of the road. From
Sharon - Rt. 62E (approx. 5 miles) to Bend Rd.; turn left to Lamor Rd.;
turn right, fairground at bottom of hill.
Q: How much does it cost to
get into the grandstands?
A: Ok, there is a cost to get into the GRANDSTANDS to see the events,
such as tractor & truck pulls. (We can’t let everything be free.)
General admission is $7.00 per person, children under 12 are free. You
are given a bracelet, and are allowed to enter & exit the stands as
many times as you want… to visit the delicious concession stands right?!
Q: What is going on tonight?
A: This is one call that we receive most often. Well, it depends on what
night you are calling. We ask that you check the schedule on the web site, and if you have further questions about the night’s schedule,
call the information hotline. Things get a little busy during the week
of the fair, so if you don't get an answer immediately, do some research
on our web site, email
us, you will get an answer somehow.
Q: Will the fair still run
if it rains?
A: This is a tough one to answer. It all depends on the weather
forecast, current conditions, fairground conditions, and time. We
want to ensure the safety of all fair attendees, and we always think of
your safety in making a decision on the cancellation of an event. If an
event is cancelled, the fair board makes hard efforts to call all local
radio, and TV stations to broadcast the cancellation of the event for
the night.
Q: Will I get my money
back if I paid to get into the grandstands, and the event is cancelled?
A: No. There is a no refund, and no rain check policy.
There is also no guarantee that an event will not be interrupted, or possibly
cancelled, due to weather, mechanical, or technical difficulties.
Q: What time does the horse show end?
A: The horse show starts at 9AM. It usually ends in the late afternoon, although it depends on how many contestants have entered into the show.
Q: Is there handicap parking available?
A: Yes, there is handicap parking available in the area in front of the township building. Limited handicap parking is available.
Q: What time do the dinners start, end, and how much are they?
A: The dinners start nightly at 4:30, and end at 7:30. The kitchen may also close early if all dinners are sold before 7:30. All dinners cost $7.00 per person, under 3 is free.
Q: What food stands do you have at your fair?
A: We have food stands that sell home made french fries, hot sausage, roast beef sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza, ice cream, and more.
Q: Can my group or organization setup a food stand at the fair?
A: No. The Jefferson Township Fair Board does not permit ANY kind of privately owned, non-profit, or likewise food vending booths to be setup other than the fair run, and carnival run food stands.

Q: How many items can I bring with me on entry day?
A: You may enter as many items as you wish, however there are rules that must be followed. You cannot enter more than one item in a section, as you cannot compete against yourself. We do prefer that if you have more than 20 items to be entered, that you pre-register to reduce the amount of time that you will have to wait in line.
Q: Do I have to pre-register my items to be judged?

Q: Is there a fee for entering items to be judged?
A: No, there is absolutely no fee to enter any amount of items to be judged.
