Bring your stuff!!!

The Jefferson Township Fair is holding a "Good Junk" Auction on Tuesday July 22, 2008. We need YOU, the public, to go through your house, and donate items (that are in clean, working order) to the fairgrounds on the following weekends in July, July 12, & July 19, from 8-12. If you would like to donate items, but at another time, please call 724.699.4565, 724.699.4617, or 724.662.4734 to make other arrangements.

 

Here's Why...

Due to recent budget cuts by the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, money that was available to fairs in Pennsylvania to improve their fargrounds, and do other projects for the fair, has been removed from the budget. The state has removed $600,000, yes, six-hundred-thousand dollars that used to help fairs improve. Now, we have taken the situation into our own hands, by holding this auction to benefit the Jefferson Township Fair's Bleacher & Electric Fund.

The fair is in need of replacing some of our bleachers, and a portion of our electrical system. We need your donations of items to be auctioned, or donations of money to help us offset this cost. Your donation is greatly apreciated, and will help to continue, and improve this annual local tradition.
